DR. INDAH SALAMI

Indah Rachmatiah S Salami, BSc., MSc., PhD., is a lecturer and researcher in the Faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Institute Technology Bandung (ITB), in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. She is the member of Environmental Management Technology Research Group in ITB. Currently, she is also appointed as the Head of Postgraduate Program in Environmental Engineering Department.

Dr Indah is interested to do research on water resource management, specifically on environmental health and toxicological aspect. She obtained research grants on the study of water quality and floating fishery activity in reservoir in West Java Province (the heavy metals distribution, effects on fish, depuration of metals, and the improvement of reservoir water). Beside water resources, Dr. Indah was also participated in many environmental health, epidemiology, and ecological and human risk assessment research of pollutants exposures (air, water, food sources) to the community including workers in industries.

Dr. Indah received BSc in Environmental Engineering at ITB, and Master and PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

Dr Salami was appointed to the PBC Board in July 2010.
