Professor Bo Ling's research interests and activities include the following:

• 1987-1988: worked on the demonstration project on hazardous waste disposal in Shenyang, China (This was the first project on harzadous waste in China)
• 1988-1998: Worked on the WHO project on night soil disposal in China
• 1997-1997: presented workshops on biogas technologies used to treat night soil in cities and villages in countries in the West Pacific region as a WHO adviser.
• 1995-2002: Assisted with the national project on asenic removal from drinking water
  2003-now: Involved in the investigation of PCB contamination and its health effects on children (This is the first site investigation in China )
