Venue
The venue for the 13th International Conference of the Pacific Basin Consortiun has been changed.
The new venue will be Telethon Institute for Child Health Research (TICHR), which is the current location of the PBC Secretariat.
The Telethon Institute is located at 100 Roberts Road, Subiaco to the west of Perth CBD. Please see map below.
Transport
Transport around Perth
Transperth provides free bus services in the Perth CBD. One option is to use either the Red Cat and Yellow Cat bus service, both of which come within a short walking distance of the Telethon Institute, please click here for more details of the Perth CAT. Please note that on the weekends the CAT services do not run as frequently.
Transperth also has the Free Transit Zone (FTZ) which operates within the city boundaries. Passengers can travel within it on any bus for free, as often as they want. Look for the FTZ logo on bus stops to identify the FTZ boundaries. See the CAT map which indicates the boundaries of the FTZ. For more information on the FTZ service see the Transperth website.
International and Domestic Flights
Regular domestic and international flights are available through a number of airlines. Please book your flights with your travel agent or directly with the airline.
Taxis to and from the airport
Taxis are available from both the domestic and international terminals 24 hours a day. At both airport terminals taxis will wait at the designated taxi rank, outside Terminal 1 at the International airport and outside Terminals 2 & 3 at the Domestic airport. A taxi trip from either of the airport terminals to Perth city centre will take between 20 and 30 minutes and will cost approximately AUD$25.00 - AUD$35.00. All taxis are meter operated by time and distance and indicate they are vacant by illuminating their sign on the roof.

Perth Airport City Shuttle
The Perth Airport City Shuttle has several convenient pick-up points located near hotels, motels and hostels in Perth, including Northbridge, the Central City, East Perth, West Perth, Mill Point Road and Great Eastern Highway.
At Terminal 1 (International), the Perth Airport City Shuttle meets every arrival within 45 minutes of customs clearance. This service is also available at the domestic terminals, with the Perth Airport City Shuttle meeting each domestic arrival within 30 minutes of luggage collection.
